Annual General Meeting 2011
The Northern Branch Annual General Meeting will once again be held in the Clore Suite at the Great North Museum: Hancock on Saturday 26th March 2011. The meeting will start at 1.30 p.m. and tea or coffee and biscuits will be provided. There is also a cafe in the museum.
There are vacancies on the branch committee and we would welcome nominations or enquiries from anyone interested in joining the committee.
The AGM will be followed by a talk given by Dr Douglas Wilson on Biological Rhythms in Health and Disease. Members will recall a paper in Biologist (November 2009) by Dr Wilson and his colleagues on this subject and this talk will be concerned with blood pressure monitoring, screening and treatment in cardiovascular disease. Douglas is President of the South Wales Branch and is presently based at the Wolfson Institute, Queens Campus, Durham University
