Cambridge Science Festival
The Cambridge Science Festival is the largest free Science Festival in the UK and attracts a wide audience of all ages from the local area and beyond. Co-ordinated by the public engagement team at the University of Cambridge, the events are hosted in working departments and run by staff and student volunteers.

2011
Last year’s Cambridge Science Festival was their most successful yet with over 35,000 people attending nearly 180 events over the fortnight in which the Festival runs.
The Biology Zone was a hit with the public with over 2,000 visitors in six hours. It consisted of 14 different specific areas targeted at all age groups and was delivered by the Society of Biology, MRC, Babraham Institute, MedImmune, Papworth Hospital, Society of Pharmacology, Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute & European Bioinformatics Institute, Long Road Sixth Form College, Cancer Research Institute and Cambridge AWiSE.
