Geneticons: The alien population game

The Alien Population Game Geneticons, is a fun way of introducing basic genetics, covering genes, inheritance and adaptation.

The game can be introduced using a brief classroom introduction to genetics using the presentation Introduction to Inheritance & Geneticons Game. Guidelines and game templates can be printed out or alternatively they can be used from the Geneticons Game presentation, although this requires the players to stay together as a group working at a similar pace. Often a combination of printed Characteristics Keys from the templates and the presentation works well. The game may be played in sections as explained in the guidelines and there is the opportunity to hold a Baby Competition.
