Retired Members’ Lunch

The Retired Member’s Lunch is now a firm and popular fixture in the Yorkshire Branch calendar. It is recognised that “retired” members make a significant contribution to both the operation of the Branch’s activities and in support of its various events; the importance of on-going networking cannot be over-estimated. This is a relaxed informal occasion, offering an opportunity for like-minded biologists to get together and raise any issues that may further assist the Yorkshire Branch and its activities.
Retired Yorkshire Branch members of the Society of Biology are invited to attend and they may bring up to one guest each. The venue will again be The Farthings Restaurant, Leeds City College, Thomas Danby Campus, Roundhay Road, Leeds LS7 3BG.
The meals are excellent as the restaurant offers a pleasant venue of high quality, rated by some to be the best in Leeds. It is very well appointed. The college trains students for the full range of food provision and the restaurant has all the facilities expected, including an extensive wine list, bar service with draught beers, etc.
The menu varies daily but it will always be of a high standard, with a choice to be ordered on the day.
