Professional Development

Professional Development is essential for today's biologists 

We encourage our members to partake in our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) scheme. This is an important part of progression through the membership grades to Chartered Biologist Status.

We run an approval scheme for courses or events for CPD and work in association with many organisations to provide and support CPD suitable for our members. 

We administer a register of Qualified Persons in the pharmaceutical industry, the UK Register of Toxicologists, the  International Register of Fetal Morphologists and we award the International Diploma in Toxicology. The next IDT examination will take place in June 2011 with a closing date for entries the end of April 2011. Actual dates to be announced nearer the time.
