  West Midlands Branch - 'Our evolving mind - an archaeological perspective'

  Location : Shropshire Wildlife Trust Visitor Centre, Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury SY2 6AH.

  Professor Larry Barham from the University of Liverpool, an expert on Paleoanthropology, will be giving a lecture entitled 'Our evolving mind - an archaeological perspective', an update on the evolution of mankind from the times of Lucy to the origins of language.

  An undergraduate careers conference with presentations on a wide range of science-related careers, a CV workshop, and a chance to mingle with the experts and ask informal questions over lunch and afternoon refreshments.

  Fellows Dinner 2012

  Location : Institute of Directors, 116 Pall Mall, London, SW1Y 5ED

  The Society of Biology Fellows Dinner will be held on Tuesday 13th March 2012 at the Institute of Directors. The event is hosted by the Society of Biology President Dame Professor Nancy Rothwell, and the after dinner speech will be given by Professor Bruce Hood (Ri Christmas Lecturer 2011).

  Voice of the Future 2012

  The Society of Biology is organising Voice of the Future 2012, an event that gives young scientists and engineers the opportunity to participate in a Science Question Time with Rt. Hon. David Willetts MP, Minister for Universities and Science; the House of Commons Science and Technology Select Committee; and Chi Onwurah MP, Shadow Minister for Innovation and Science.
