  South Wales Branch: Bracken Open Day

  Location : Bwlch Village Hall 8 miles East of Brecon, LD3 7HX

  The meeting will aim to provide an overview of bracken fern in a contemporary biological framework and the format of the event will be lectures, discussions, demonstrations and walking tours. Theoretical and practical issues are to be covered and demonstrations of bracken control equipment will take place. Bracken management systems will be considered.

  Location : Caernarfon Mountain Railway

  A guide will travelwith us on our own coach of the railway to point out features of interest to biologists en route. Lunch (individuals to arrange) in Beddgelert then return on train leaving Beddgelert at 3.10 p.m
